Hughes 9502

BGAN M2M External Antenna Terminal

The world’s most cost-effective, all-IP BGAN machine-to-machine satellite terminal
with exceptionally low power consumption.

Description

Key Features

The Hughes 9502 IP satellite terminal ensures reliable connectivity via the Inmarsat Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) for IP SCADA and machine-to-machine (M2M) applications. It offers affordable, global, end-to-end IP data connectivity, supporting industries such as environmental monitoring, SmartGrid, pipeline monitoring, compressor monitoring, well site automation, video surveillance, and out-of-band management for primary site communications.

With its impressive low power consumption (1W idle), the Hughes 9502 provides end-to-end IP connectivity to off-grid locations. This innovation enables reliable service at power-challenged sites that rely on solar-battery arrays with sensitive power budgets.

The Hughes 9502 comes with 10 meters of RF cabling, allowing flexible antenna placement in complex installations while keeping the SIM card secure inside a premise or enclosure to protect against theft, unauthorized use, and vandalism.

Firmware updates are rare, but when available, they can be upgraded over-the-air (OTA) at no additional cost, saving customers both time and money.
